This year's National Reconciliation Week (NRW) which is held from 27 May to 3 June, commemorates two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey: the successful 1967 referendum (PDF, 319KB) on 27 May and the 1992 High Court Mabo decision (PDF, 174KB) on 3 June.

The Commitment to Aboriginal Peoples and Torres Strait Islander Peoples (PDF, 8MB) is the department’s commitment to reconciliation and it's brought to life through the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Capability Framework (summary).

This year's theme 'Be Brave. Make Change' is a challenge to all Australians to tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation for the benefit of all Australians. For additional information and some great resources visit the National Reconciliation Week website.
