The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education 2018 report card is out now.
The Department of Education’s commitment to improving educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students is reflected in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education in Queensland state schools 2018 report card.
The report card, which spans the last 4 years, has been developed to share the strategies used to contribute to these improvements, as well as serving as a consultation tool to determine the priorities for the next 4 years.
Some of the highlights in the report card include a significant increase in Year 12 students obtaining a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) or Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA), increase in number of Year 3 students at or above NAPLAN Reading, and greater retention rate for Years 10–12 students—just to name a few.
