The Department of Education's Equity and Excellence: Realising the potential of every student strategy commits to improving educational outcomes, with a focus on improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

The department funds First Nations attendance and engagement programs to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging, to attend school; engage in learning; complete Year 12; and transition into employment, training or further education.

On 23 September 2024, tenders opened on QTenders to deliver attendance and engagement programs to female and male First Nations students at Mareeba State High School and male First Nations students at Marsden State High School.

Suppliers are invited to submit their responses via QTenders by Monday 21 October at 2pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).

More information is available on QTenders:
