The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander procurement action plan 2024–25 recognises that engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses helps to create employment, build sector capability, and increase the economic participation and employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The action plan has been developed in line with the Queensland Indigenous (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Procurement Policy (QIPP) that supports development, sustainability and growth of Indigenous businesses across Queensland which in turn increases the employment, independence and wellbeing of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
