Congratulations to the school communities who received Indigenous Language Grant funding. The State Government's $400,000 Indigenous Languages Grants program enables Queenslanders to teach, learn and celebrate Aboriginal languages and Torres Strait Islander languages.

The successful P&C associations are: Childers State School, Maleny State School, Leichhardt State School, Cooktown State School, Theodore State School and Caboolture State High School, along with Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council who partnered with Murgon State High School.

This initiative was a joint project between the Department of Seniors, Disability Services and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and the Department of Education.
